Citizens allege bribery and misuse of power in the de-notification of the newly built Chuha Gujjar Sports Complex. A letter to the Anti-Corruption Department claims a sports official took a bribe of 5 lakh rupees and one kanal of land to de-notify the project, depriving the community of vital sports facilities.
The project, valued at 147.72 million rupees, aimed to promote sports activities and steer youth away from negative influences. The de-notification not only damages public trust but also wastes valuable government funds.
The accused officer remains unresponsive despite attempts to reach him for comment. The Anti-Corruption Department is urged to take swift action and hold those responsible accountable. Let’s fight corruption and ensure our communities have access to the resources they deserve!
