PTI & BUS RAPID TRANSIT, FIASCO

Peshawar (KiKXNow) The Pakistani Nation has been acquainted with multiple terms, including Black List, Grey List, Pending List and now very soon another term is expected to be launched and added soon after the Eid-ul-Fitr to the above dictionary “The Crack List”, these terms were possible only the financial assistance/funding from Asian Development Bank and the PTI provincial government one and only historical Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Peshawar.

According to the sources and documents available with KiKXNow the black listed Maqbool and Husnain Construction companies(s) were miserably failed to pay salaries to the labor working in their respected reach in BRT. The laborers and their families are compelled to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr without having their salaries. It has been learned that these salaries have been risen to 400 million. In addition, 320 million have been outstanding in terms of vehicles rented and used for multiple purpose in the BRT. It has also been learned that since labor, and vehicle owners had already been left for Punjab and other local areas due to the pandemic COIVD-19 lockdown.

The term “Crack List”, reveals that the overhead corridor at reach three is badly cracked at least at each “Four Feet” from Kharkhno Market to Kacha Ghari Chowk and at Tehkal Station. Since the BRT staff and the relevant departments are closed due to the COVID-19 lockdown, hence specific details are expending soon after Eid- ul-Fitr and once the relevant offices would be re-open and the work on BRT would resumed.

In the past the provincial government has been announced deadlines for the completion and inauguration of the BRT, however keeping in view the above details, it seems impossible even in the near future. It is also pertinent to mention that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal had announced the alleged malfeasance in Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project and Malam Jabba forest land scam in December 2019.
